• Fiver Challenge - The Sales Launch

  Year 6 have reached the final week of their Fiver Challenge enterprise project. The enjoyed their initial sales launch on Friday at KS1 and KS2 Sport's Day. Take a look on the Year 6 class page for photos.

  Year 6 will be continuing sales next week after school. Look out for the text message to let you know what will be on sale.

• Fiver Challenge - Week 3

  Year 6 have completed Week 3 of their Fiver Challenge; they have created their advertising posters for their business. The initial sales launch will be on Friday 28th June @ KS1 Sports Day. Further dates will follow - so keep looking at St Mary's News.

  It is that time of year again! All classes will be taking part in Sports Week next week Monday 24th June. Children are to wear sports clothing all week to take part in the activities.

• Maths of the Day

  Mrs Pooley and Mrs Padmore have recently introduced Maths of the Day to the whole school, and I had the pleasure of watching Year 5 today taking part in the most amazing problem solving lesson on angles. All of the children were actively taking part in a time limited challenge, and have sent me messages telling me what they felt about this:

  "I found it fun and amazing."

  "I learnt how to measure a reflex angle."

  "I was under pressure and challenged"

  "It helped me to use a protractor, and I liked that it was hard."

  "It was very fun but it was hard."
