    Years 5 and 6 Book Club are currently reading 'Fing', by David Walliams. They haven't stopped laughing! If you join Book Club, every time you read a book, you get to keep your copy, for ever!

    This afternoon, Years 5 and 6 served an amazing afternoon tea (with sandwiches, scones and cream) to their mothers, grandmothers (and some stand-in mothers) to celebrate mother's day 2019.

    Today The Science Dome visited St Mary's, and all of the children from Years R-6 had the opportunity to explore inside, and take part in a workshop. We matched the workshop to the studies in class, and used this learning opportunity to develop some fantastic language!

    Today the pupils of St Mary's were delighted to welcome famous author and poet Valerie Bloom to the school. They heard the most amazing poems, and joined in with her to recite some of her works.
  • Did you know that today is Ash Wednesday?

    Today in our Wednesday mass, the children experienced having ash put on their forehead in the sign of the cross. Ash Wednesday is celebrated 46 days before Easter, and marks the first day of Lent, which is a period of self restraint.
