• Merry Christmas

  Today is our last day of term, and the children finish school at 2pm.  I wanted to take this opportunity to wish all of our children and families a merry Christmas from the whole staff, and we look forward to a successful new year at St Mary's!

• Christmas Fair

  A huge thank you to the Friends of St Mary's, for all of their hard work at the Christmas Fair. The whole event was very enjoyable, and we will let you know the total amount raised. We are intending to use this money to buy science equipment (we would like some microscopes which attach to our laptops, and we can film/photograph things like mould growing), art equipment (we would like to buy glass panels for painting) and some money towards our minibus (the younger children would like to go fruit picking in the Summer, and KS2 would like to attend even more sports events!)

  

• Nativity

  I hope you took the opportunity this week to see the six performances we held for our Christmas productions. 2 Nursery productions, 2 for Reception and Key Stage 1, and 2 Key Stage 2 performances. The pupils were brilliant!

  

• School Christmas Lunch

  All of our children enjoyed a lovely lunch with staff today, to celebrate Christmas together.

  

• Glass Painting

  On Wednesday and Thursday this week, pupils stayed after school for glass painting with Mrs McGarrigle, Miss Sepet and Mrs Davison. This was a great opportunity to make some presents for Christmas, and develop some new art skills!
