  • BBC filming at St Mary's CE Primary School

    Fri 30 Nov 2018
Today we were visited by a BBC film crew, who were filming for the Show Lifeline which is scheduled to be aired on the BBC on the 16th December 2018. Year 4 took part in the filming, which was following the day of one of our families, and the support that the epilepsy nurse Emily gives them. Emily is a Roald Dahl nurse, working from Darent Valley Hospital, and the show will raise awareness of epilepsy and the impact upon families. It will also help to raise money for the charity. Well done Year 4 (you are now officially famous!)
  • The Great Christmas Sleepover 2018

    Fri 23 Nov 2018
60 pupils from Years 2-6 slept in the school overnight! We ate pizza, decorated the Christmas tree, watched Christmas films and laughed (a lot!). Very little sleeping took place, and we were all up around 6am for toast and hot chocolate.
  • The Big School Swim 2018

Tue 13 Nov 2018 Mrs Davison

Year 6 will be taking part in 'The Big School Swim' - an annual event from Swim England, that celebrates swimming and water safety in schools.

It's a great opportunity for school pupils to celebrate the fun – and importance – of learning how to swim and learning about water safety. It helps Swim England reinforce why it’s so important that swimming takes place in PE – and that it is a requirement of the curriculum (not an optional subject).
