  • World Book Day

Mon 07 Mar 2022 Mrs McGarrigle

On Friday 4th March we joined other schools to celebrate World Book Day. This was especially important, as we joined children across the world during a period of unrest and conflict.

Our children came to school in their pyjamas, to remind us all to read a book at bedtime. All of the classroom doors were decorated, which was a huge surprise for the pupils when they came in to school.

  • France Trip

Wed 02 Mar 2022 Mrs McGarrigle

We are aiming to offer a trip to France to all pupils in KS2, during June of 2023. More details will follow, and I aim to provide as much time as possible for a payment plan, so that all pupils can access this exciting opportunity. There will be a reduction in costs for those pupils eligible for Pupil Premium funding. This trip will support learning in geography, history and French.

  • Volley Ball Workshops

Wed 02 Mar 2022 Mrs McGarrigle

You may be aware that on the last day of term (11th February) we held one of our Growth: Make a Difference days. On these days we work on our own wellbeing, as well as making a difference to others and our environment. The focus of this day was 'try something new', and all of the pupils, from the 2 year old class up to Year 6, tried volleyball with our sports coach Ella. It was so enjoyable (and exhausting), that the pupils have asked for this to continue, so we will be holding these workshops as an additional class every month for all pupils. Well done everyone!
