Use of Images

Whilst lots of parents really enjoy seeing photos and videos of their child's school life, we are mindful of our duty of care to all of our pupils. We take the issue of safeguarding very seriously, and this includes the use of photographic and video images.

Any photos or videos taken by parents, carers and relatives at school productions, sports week, or other events, are for the enjoyment of individual families. They must not be used in any way that potentially puts a child at risk. This includes publishing images in any form, including on social media/social networking sites.

We understand that some families may not wish for their child to be photographed or videod. If this is the case, please contact the Headteacher, Mrs Amanda McGarrigle, who will discuss with you how this can be achieved.

A consent letter will be shared with you when your child starts with us, regarding the use of their image on the school website, social media, and in newsletters.

Please note that St Mary's has CCTV, which we use to monitor conduct on our premises.
